How do I become a member of Hope In Christ Ministry?
Membership typically involves a clear testimony of salvation, believer's baptism, and a conversation or class with church leadership. We want you to understand our beliefs, vision, and expectations, and to feel truly at home here.
Do I have to be a member to serve or volunteer?
Some areas of service are open to regular attendees, while leadership and certain ministries require formal membership and alignment with our doctrine and lifestyle standards. We will help you find the right place to serve.
What is expected of members in terms of giving, serving, and attendance?
Members are encouraged to faithfully attend services, serve according to their gifts, and give tithes and offerings as an act of worship. We believe a healthy member is engaged in worship, discipleship, service, and mission.
How is the church led and governed (pastor and board)?
Our church is led by a pastor (or pastoral team) and supported by appointed leaders such as elders and/or deacons, depending on our structure. We function with local autonomy under Christ, seeking His direction in prayer and in the Word.
What does church discipline and restoration look like in your fellowship?
Church discipline is carried out biblically, lovingly, and with the goal of restoration. When necessary, leaders come alongside a member in sin or error to correct, counsel, and help them return to full fellowship in Christ and the church.
